Save my Blushes is…ahem an online shop for…hmmm in the old days they used to call them marital aids. In short they are toys for the discerning adult for fun and frolics.
Now, we like a challenge here at Grow HQ. Before the rise of the internet this would have been a no-go subject that few would have talked about in polite company, but due to the rise of such books as '50 Shades of Grey' never has there been such demand for filth and sauce.
The challenge here was to make a taboo subject not only accessible, but also to ensure it didn't take it self too seriously. We couldn't be too clinical as if we were MAsters and Johnson, and yet neither could we be smutty and dirty. It had to strike the right balance between clinical sophistication, but also have a bit of a cheeky wink and an "Aye-aye" attitude.
We took the idea of a heart - the ancient symbol of love and purity, and went a chucked a pair of horns on it so what do we get? A horny heart that's what. By now Rich was in the zone and spent hours racking off various reems of Saundersesque innuendo coming up with a carefully crafted brand and identity design. The result? Well you wouldn't want to show it to your mother, but you might cheekily jab your frisky Aunty Nellie in the ribs and wave it under her nose.
Joking apart, the logo itself has a subtle humour with a clean design that gives it a versatility to be used across all media and packaging. We've also worked on a range of photo treatments, brand messages and collateral, alongside a classy and very usable e-commerce website.
This is a great project that all parties involved are having a lot of fun with (not that sort of fun…honestly), after all where else would you allowed to use the phrase 'Perv-Herd' and get away with it!
Works-in-progress, In-house shenanigans and various drivel
Wine is great. Add a glass to a sandwich you have a meal instead of a snack. Add a bottle to a Friday night takeaway and you’ve a great night ahead. It elevates food and changes the ordinary into the sublime.
